Event Details:

In this round table, we would like to discuss how learning another language changed our lives in ways big and small. Attendees will be asked to think about their successes as well as hurdles as we reflect on the language learning experience. From this, we'll discuss how we can motivate all our students to experience the same benefits that learning another language has brought to us. Discussants include Prof. Anne Violin Wigent (Romance and Classical Studies, MSU), Mary Ellen Rutemeyer (German Studies; Center for Language Teaching Advancement; Linguistics, Languages, and Cultures, MSU), and Prof. Jason Merrill (Linguistics, Languages, and Cultures, MSU).
