Women receive supplies at Milola Dispensary

Although dispensaries in rural communities in Tanzania serve as both local health clinics and pharmacies, they typically function with minimal medical equipment and drugs. This was the case at Milola Dispensary. In 2011 and 2012, TPP provided training, education materials, and equipment to the Milola Dispensary staff as they supported student health assessments. In 2013, MSU faculty and staff donated receiving blankets to the dispensary to avoid newborn heat loss during the first critical hours of birth. Then in 2019, TPP donated health screening and assessment tools to improve the quality and range of healthcare services available to community members.
